The Andy Russell Charitable Foundation was established in 1999 to fund health care and human services. The Foundation has generously supported a number of programs and important mediation research organizations, concentrating on those for children. To date, the foundation has supported such charities as Children's Hospital Free Care Fund, the Ronald McDonald House, Leukemia Society, the Cancer Society, PA Economics Programs for school children, Cystic Fibrosis, Mother's Hope, Juvenile Diabetes, SIDS, and Pittsburgh Vision Services.
Andy Russell, a 12-year veteran of the Pittsburgh Steelers and 7-time Pro-Bowl Selection, has just as many merits off the field for his participation in charitable organizations as he does on the field as one of the greatest linebackers to play in the NFL. read more »
Andy's third book could be considered a biography as Andy tries to tell his children, grandchildren, dear friends and the Steelers Nation (fans/readers) how he thinks about life, how lucky he has been, and what a positive influence they have all been. If one can write his legacy this book would be his attempt to understand himself. read more » |
