About the Cause

The Andy Russell Charitable Foundation was created in March of 1999 primarily to contribute funds to children’s charities. The Foundation hopes to support a number of programs, particularly important mediation research organizations concentrating on those for children.

To date, the foundation has supported such charities as:

  • Children’s Hospital Free Care Fund
  • The Ronald McDonald House
  • Leukemia Society
  • The Cancer Society
  • PA Economics Programs for School Children
  • Junior Achievement
  • Cystic Fibrosis
  • Mothers Hope
  • Juvenile Diabetes
  • SIDS
  • Pittsburgh Vision Services

The Andy Russell Celebrity Classic has been supporting the work of the Department of Urology at UPMC and the C. Andrew Russell Laboratory for Head and Neck Cancer Research.  This year, we’re proud to include the UPMC Sports Medicine Concussion Program as an additional beneficiary.
